Cherryfy App, LLC Effective: October 22, 2026
1. Introduction
Cherryfy App, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Cherryfy mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide and improve our service:
Phone Number: Used for account authentication via SMS verification.
Screen Content: Captured via Android Accessibility Services to analyze rideshare offers. Cherryfy captures the screen only while a driving session you started is running; it does not monitor your device at other times. If an offer appears over another app, such as a map app, Cherryfy still reads it. Anything on screen that is not an offer is discarded at once on your device. Images are processed on your device using Google ML Kit and are discarded immediately after text is extracted. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you enable Save Screenshots to Gallery (off by default), a copy of each analysed offer is saved to your device's photo library and remains there until you delete it. Saved images may contain rider names and pickup addresses visible on-screen at the time of capture — you take on responsibility for those images when you enable this feature.
Trip Metrics: Offer analytics (price, distance, estimated $/mile and $/hour) extracted from your screen are synced to your private history. If you use the session tracker, your earnings (typed by you, or filled in by Cherryfy and confirmed by you), odometer readings, start and end times, and any notes you type are also stored. Your vehicle profile (make, model, year, fuel type, and cost-per-mile parameters) is stored to power profitability calculations.
Device Information: Your device model and operating system version are stored in your account record on our servers when you sign in and are refreshed while the scanning service is running. This information is used for crash reporting, service compatibility, and to support diagnostic requests. It is not used for advertising.
Contact and Profile: Your email address, display name, and the city, state, and country you enter during setup are stored in your account. Your email is used to send you service announcements and, with your separate consent, marketing communications. Your location information is self-declared — the app does not read your device location.
Referral and Attribution: If you use a referral code or share one, we store the referral relationship between accounts (who referred whom) and track referral points. We also record how you found Cherryfy (e.g., via an organic search or a specific campaign), which helps us understand which channels bring drivers to the app.
Diagnostic Logs: If you submit a diagnostic report using the in-app button, the report includes your device model and OS version, your Cherryfy account identifier, scan performance metrics, offer details from the scan session leading up to the issue, a note you write describing the problem, and technical logs from the scan session, which currently include the name of the application in the foreground at each scan interval (for example, a rideshare driver app or another app you had open). These logs do not include the content of other applications, only their names. Diagnostic reports are sent only when you initiate them, and both the report and its technical logs are automatically deleted 90 days after you send them. We may delete them sooner once the issue they describe is resolved.
Receipt Photos (AI Scanning): If you choose to scan a receipt, the photo you take or select is sent through Google Firebase to Google's Gemini AI service, which reads the amounts and details on it. This happens only when you tap Scan Receipt, and only if you have allowed AI-powered features in your consent choices. Cherryfy does not store the photo on its servers. Google processes the photo to return the result, under the terms Google applies to this service. The values it returns fill in your expense entry, which you can check and edit before you save it. A copy of the photo stays on your device only if you save one there yourself.
Automatic Earnings (optional): If you agree in the app, Cherryfy reads the earnings total that your driver apps show on screen, for example Uber's total for today, during your driving sessions. We read it through the Android Accessibility Service. At the end of each session, Cherryfy uses it to fill in your earnings for that session. It also counts one trip each time the total goes up, and fills in your number of trips for that session. You check the numbers and can change them. Cherryfy saves your earnings and trips only when you tap Save. With them, it saves the numbers it read and whether you changed them, so that we can measure and improve the reading. Cherryfy also notes, on your phone only, which driver apps you used during the session, so that it can add a row for each one, and today's total and number of trips, so that a later session on the same day gets only its own share; these notes are not uploaded. To learn how each driver app shows earnings, during your first 10 driving sessions with each driver app (or 5 days of driving with it, if that takes longer), Cherryfy also saves the numbers it reads (amounts, trip counts, distances and times), where they were on the screen, and whether the screen was hidden. We do not save names, addresses or any other text. These readings are stored in your private account, only Cherryfy administrators can see them, and they are deleted 90 days after the session. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Consent; readings from a session in progress are then discarded.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used for the following purposes:
Provide Service: Authenticate your identity, process offer data, display profitability analytics, show your earnings benchmarked against market averages for your area, compute and display your DriveScore, operate the referral programme, and manage your account.
Improve Accuracy: Refine our analytical algorithms and set subscription pricing using aggregated driving patterns. Data used for pricing segmentation is covered by your main service acceptance. Data used for external research or licensing requires your separate consent.
Communicate: Send essential service notifications such as account security alerts or policy updates.
Pricing and Product Design: We may use aggregated driving patterns — such as session frequency, offer volume, and market activity — to design subscription tiers and day passes. This use of data is a service purpose and is covered by your acceptance of these Terms. No individual-level data is shared with third parties for this purpose.
4. Data Sharing
No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade information that identifies you personally. We may share aggregate, non-personal statistics — such as market-level offer rates — with research partners, subject to your separate consent and a minimum contributor threshold that prevents re-identification.
Service Providers: We may share limited data with trusted providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud) who assist in operating our infrastructure, bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
Aggregate Research: With your separate consent, we may contribute your anonymised driving patterns to aggregate market research. No information that identifies you individually is included. We do not publish per-city figures that fall below six contributing drivers. If a market falls below that threshold after publication due to driver attrition, we will update or retract the affected figure. You may withdraw this consent at any time in Settings > Privacy & Consent, which excludes you from future research datasets.
5. Your Rights
Access, Correction, Deletion, and Consent: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to a specific processing purpose, at any time by visiting cherryfy.app/dashboard/delete-account or contacting legal@cherryfy.app. When you accept these Terms, three separately refusable purposes are offered, each with its own checkbox: Market research, Email announcements, and Push notifications. Granting or declining each is independent of accepting the Terms. You may withdraw any of these consents at any time in Settings > Privacy & Consent; withdrawal deletes the consent record immediately and excludes you from that purpose going forward. Withdrawal does not affect data already processed under prior consent.
Data Portability: In accordance with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), you have the right to request a copy of your data in a portable format.
